Jan serves on the Board of IDCM Netherlands as Chairman, based in Amsterdam, where he provides strategic oversight across governance, technology and risk management, supporting the long-term growth of the business.
With more than 30 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, Jan has held a broad range of senior management roles at ING and ABN AMRO. His expertise spans corporate banking, financial institutions, distressed debt restructuring and recovery, capital structure advisory and client coverage.
Jan believes long-term success is built on clear strategy, strong leadership and trusted relationships, helping businesses navigate change and create lasting value.
Alongside his role at IDCM, Jan holds a number of advisory roles within the start-up community, reflecting his interest in building sustainable businesses.
Jan holds an MSc in Economics and an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Groningen and has completed Executive Programmes at INSEAD, Oxford and Columbia.
